Stars in Training
The UK’s 10th National Apprenticeship Week is taking place between 6-10th March
It’s summertime, and the sun is finally shining (well, almost!), but if you’re a student, the chances are probably very high that you’re watching it all sadly through your classroom window. No doubt you’re stressing out over your exams – either the ones you’ve just taken or the ones that are still to come.
If this sounds like you, then we wish you luck. We’ve been in your position, and we remember only too well how terrifying it is. But we also know that there’s nothing for you to worry about, especially if you want to train as an apprentice at the LHAA.
At the LHAA, grades don’t matter. Of course, we hope that you get all the excellent grades you’ve worked so hard for, but if you don’t that’s not a problem. All we want from you is your passion for our industry, your hunger for success, and your commitment to learning. Because we know that exam grades are only a small part of the story. In fact, for the past several years, research has proven that the education system is letting students down. And that’s why apprenticeships like ours are so important because you’re not judged by a handful of letters or numbers on a sheet of paper. We want you to excel and succeed, whatever your qualifications might be.
Even better, when you enrol with the LHAA, we will find you an immediate placement with one of our fantastic salon partners. Our approach means you can earn while you learn with us, and you’ll also have the total support of your new employer. The LHAA motto says ‘Aspire to Achieve Excellence’, and we mean it. If you aspire, we will deliver (unlike some exam grades, which often aren’t representative of the work you’ve put into studying for them).
So, if GCSE panic is getting you down, just take a deep breath, smile, and start enjoying the lovely weather (or the lovely weather that is hopefully not too far away!) because – whatever your results might be – if you want to train at the LHAA, we want you to train with us too.
