Would you like to enjoy a nice cuppa, delicious cake and to have your hair styled all while raising much-needed money for Macmillan Cancer Support? On Friday 25th September, each one of our three academies will be throwing open their doors to welcome you in for a morning of pampering as part of the 'Macmillan World's Biggest Coffee Morning' campaign.
It's a wonderful initiative that will be taking place across the country and LHAA is proud to do our bit to ensure no one has to face cancer alone. All the money raised by the coffee morning will be matched, pound for pound, by LHAA to support this incredible cause. That's why we'll be laying on tea, coffee and plenty of scrumptious cakes for all our visitors and giving you the have your hair done too. We're determined to beat last year total and raise £1,000 on the day – and with your help we've got every chance of doing just that.
If you aren't familiar with Macmillan's work, the charity is committed to helping people living with cancer and their loved ones. According to their statistics, there are now 2.5 million people in the UK living with cancer and by 2030, the total will have risen to 4 million. Macmillan's aim is to be there for them all.
"One in three of us will get cancer, and it will be one of the toughest things we'll ever have to face," say Macmillan. "Our goal is to make sure no one faces cancer alone. We provide medical, emotional, practical and financial support, as well as campaigning for better cancer care. And because cancer affects more than just those facing it, we’re there for friends and family too. We are Macmillan."
To get involved, all you need to do is to decide which of our three salons you'd like to visit and get in touch to book your treatment for Friday 25th September. You'll find us in Borehamwood, Camden andLoughton. Our staff and students really throw themselves into this charity event, which creates an amazing atmosphere in the academies. Just remember the money you spend on every cake, every hot drink and every treatment will go to Macmillan, and we'll be matching it too. We've been incredibly fortunate in past years to have amazing support from our clients so we're keeping our fingers crossed that we'll smash our fundraising record in 2015.
