National Apprenticeship week is fast approaching (9-13 March) and this year, LHAA is launching its 100 apprentices in 100 days campaign to highlight the need for new recruits into the hairdressing sector.
LHAA apprentice Chloe Costa joined Academy Director, Trevor Luker and Employer Engagement Manager, Emma Forester at London Greek Radio to talk about hairdressing apprenticeships. Interviewed by LGR presenter, Mike Janes, the trio spoke with passion about the growing need for new hairdressing apprentices in London, Essex and Hertfordshire, the training involved and the personal attributes that the Academy looks for when recruiting new apprentices.
Right now there are vacancies for more than 50 hairdressing apprentices with LHAA, which is seeking enthusiastic and creative young people aged 16-23, who want to start a vocational career as an alternative to university or college study. Our hairdressing training academies in Borehamwood, Camden and Loughton are just like cutting edge high street salons, to ensure our apprentices get the highest quality learning experience.
