If you needed any more reasons to hire an apprentice for your salon, The UK government has announced a new cash bonus for any employer that hires a new apprentice to help the UK economy get back on its feet.
Any employer looking to hire an apprentice between 1st April and 30th September 2021 will be eligible for a cash bonus. You’ll receive £3,000 regardless of the apprentice's age.
This grant is in addition to the existing £1,000 available for those hiring an apprentice aged between 16-18, and those aged under 25 with an Education, Health and Care Plan. This means that potentially, you could be awarded an extra £4,000 for your business by taking on a new apprentice this year.
Apprenticeships are proven to be one of the most effective ways to train and develop a loyal and highly skilled workforce for your salon. All the training is fully funded, and now you have the chance to get a bonus of up to £3000!
The apprentice will work in your salon full time whilst attending one of our academies one day a week. This allows them to gain real commercial experience, and all of our teaching is based around the current needs and techniques of salons. Our staff are all from within the industry, including a few national award winners.
We can work with you to provide pre-screened apprentices for your salon or barbershop, supporting you through every step of the process. These incentives are only available until January 2021, so it’s the perfect time to think about growing your team and helping to train the next generation of hairdressers!
