The LHAA staff, students and clients at our Camden Academy throughout May are helping to raise money to support the work of St Wilfred’s Hospice based in Chichester.
Laura Ballard, Salon Manager
at Camden who is leading the charity drive said ‘St Wilfred's Hospice exists purely on charity donations. They are wonderful people who give dignity and care to patients at the end of their life as well as offering support and guidance to family members. They specialise in all types of care including rehabilitation and community support. My uncle was diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive type of cancer. When he was close to the end they gave him a place he could feel at home and safe, he was given the dignity he deserved and my aunt was offered bereavement counselling and even the chance to take part in a dog walking day to meet other people in the situation.
There needs to be more places like St Wilfred's hospice and the only way this can happen is to raise the funds to help them expand.
The whole team in Camden has taken my Uncle’s story to their hearts and are joining with me to raise as much money as possible to support this amazing hospice and the amazing people that work here’. Francine Luker, Managing Director
at the LHAA said 'We are proud to support our team in Camden and have pledged to match funding every pound raised as this is such a worthy cause and one that we all can get behind'.
